Left Behind is a fantastic book that covers what will happen in the endtimes, or the Rapture. I loved this book, not only because I'm a Christian, but also because it had unlikely twists and captured my attention. Towards the beginning of the book, Rayford Steele is flying an airplane. Around morning, people start to go missing and everyone else is panicking. Everyone has different theories for what happened, including alien invasions and some kind of reaction with our chemicals to the atmosphere. As the story progresses, Chloe Steele, Rayford's daughter and only family left after the disappearances, soon becomes a Christian. Later on in the story, the most powerful man at the moment, Nicolae Carpathia, is interviewed by Cameron "Buck" Williams, one of the most prestigious reporters of that time. Buck meets the Steeles' and starts to fall for Chloe, then also becomes a Christian after realizing that Carpathia is the Antichrist. The ending is what really caught my attention though, because it provided a very surprising cliffhanger...
I really enjoyed this book. I was on a trip when I read it, and almost finished it in around four hours. I would definitely reccomend this book to anyone who likes to learn about religion and prophecy, but also likes futuristic books.
